About the Producer

Please allow us to introduce Albert from Celler Tuets, the newest rising star out of the Penedes. We are beyond excited to welcome him to our portfolio. We've mentioned before how the Penedes has become a hotbed for natural wine with lots of young producers coming up the ranks and transitioning family vineyards from conventional to organic and biodynamic farming. Ruben Parera has always been our best example of this and now Albert continues to grow the phenomenon.

All of his wines are made without additives of any kind and yet they are clean and precise. High toned with bright acidity and low alcohol for a Mediterranean climate, you could consider them all thirst wines. Characterized by calcareous soils between 500 and 600 meters of altitude, he's done an incredible job of capturing this expression "from the vine to the bottle", as he likes to say.

His family has worked on 100+ ha of this land for many generations, 70 ha of which is a protected forest and 22 ha is planted to vines in Northern Tarragona. Up until 2012 all grapes were sold off, until Albert began to cultivate a mere 6-7 ha and bottle his own wine. The results have been outstanding throughout the myriad of styles (from still to sparkling) that he produces. His very talented cousin Carlota is responsible for all of the art and designs on his labels.
