About the Producer

Destinos Cruzados is the joint venture between Oscar Cidanes Domínguez and Marcial Dorado in Condado do Tea (the southern inland subzone of Rías Baixas). The wines have some similarities with wines of the Ribeiro region in that they cultivate Albariño & Mencía as well as various lesser-known varietals too - Caiño, Loureiro, Espadeiro, Treixadura, and Brancellao. The property is located in the village of Arbo, which is 1km away from Portugal. The "Casa Grande de Almuiña" has 6 hectares of vineyards which they select some specific plots for their wines, plus one old-vine plot of red varieties called "As Regadas" which is 800m from the estate. Total production here is minuscule: around 10,000 bottles in total.
